Disease Associations
Increased Reid Index = Chronic bronchitis (Reid Index = ratio of gland depth to total thickness of bronchial wall)
Apical Cavitary Lesions = Tuberculosis
Curschmann Spirals = Asthma
Elevated Sweat Levels = Cystic Fibrosis
Enlarged Hilar nodes = granulomatous diseases (TB) or lymphoma or tumor
